Dr.Crusius
The Crusius family settled in Traisen a good 400 years ago. The old winery buildings, which are also the center of today's Dr. Crusius, were built in 1888. A lot has happened since then. In the 1950s, Hans Crusius turned a mixed farm into a 7.5 hectare winery. With new systems and acquisitions, son Dr. Peter Crusius to expand the area to 20 hectares. Today, it is predominantly Riesling (55%) Pinot Blanc (35%), Pinot Noir and other types of Burgundy. 70 percent of the vines are spread over classified top locations, such as the spectacular Traiser Bastei or the very steep Schloßböckelheimer Felsenberg.
