Emrich-Schönleber
Although there has been wine-growing in the family for over 250 years, the actual development to the winery of today is only started in the late 1960s. Since then, the winery has expanded the vineyard area from two hectares to 19 hectares, 85% of which are now planted with Riesling grapes.
A good wine is authentic. Because of its origin, its character, its history. For this reason, the Schönlebers cultivate and care for the vines in the top locations in Monzingen with passion. For decades, the Schönlebers have invested a great deal of personal commitment in the preservation and recultivation of the best, mostly very steep, pieces in the spring cookies and the Halenberg, which enjoy a worldwide reputation. The wines are allowed to develop individually in the cellar. These become particularly characterful and reflect the whole variety of their extraordinary terroirs. This applies not only to the grandiose Rieslings, but also to the elegant Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. They have long been valued and highly valued worldwide.
