Cabernet Franc is a red grape variety grown worldwide and is particularly well known in wine regions such as Bordeaux (France) and the Loire (also France). Germany also has climates that favor the growth of this grape variety. Cabernet Franc grows best in temperate climates. A temperate climate with warm, sunny days and cool nights supports the development of aromas and the ripening of the grapes.

Cabernet Franc wines can exhibit a variety of fruity aromas including red berries such as raspberries, cherries and currants, also herbal aromas such as green pepper, pepper, and mint in Cabernet Franc wines. The tannin structure, however, can be medium to strong, which contributes to a certain structure and longevity in the wine. The wines tend to have moderate acidity, which adds freshness and liveliness, and the wines can have medium to high alcohol content, which contributes to appropriate fullness in the mouth.

The wines are often valued for their elegance and finesse. Generally, they have a medium-weight body, which makes them versatile companions for various foods. High quality Cabernet Franc wines can age well and evolve over the years.

The grape variety is often used as a component of Bordeaux blends, along with other grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, giving the wine more structure

On the nose the wine has strong aromas of black currant, blackberry and blueberry. The combination of new and used wood has a very harmonious effect on the delicate tannin structure. In its entirety, the result is a very complex wine with many taste attributes. Powerful yet elegant. Multi-layered and striking at the same time. Present fruit, spice, perfectly integrated acidity and the handy tannin make for a completely complete wine.
