Gutzler
The main goal of the Gutzler family winery in Gundheim is to preserve the natural properties of the grapes. By planting 8,000 vines per hectare, the foundation stone is laid to express the origin of their wines, their soil and variety typicalities. The intensive care of the vines and the soil is the basis of this work. For the remarkable top wines, the yields are reduced to 20 hectoliters per hectare.
The Gutzlers' great passion is Pinot Noir and Riesling, which each make up more than a third of the vineyards. The small own sparkling wine cellar as well as the own distillery complement the appearance of the winery.
Top wines are not created by chance. Excellent vineyards, strong yield reductions and, last but not least, the harmony between nature, the special features of the soil, the vines and the winemaker are of great importance.
Absolute dedication, nothing to be taken for granted and looking for improvements in every detail - "this is the only way we can make the wines that we make."
