The various erosions of the Old Red continent gathered on the banks of the Urozeans and mixed with alluvial deposits from the sea. Fine clays and sands, shells, coral banks ... Due to the collision of the ancient continents in the Permian they were compressed into slate. And after it was lifted and shifted from the interior of the earth in millions of years of continental drift by tremendous forces, it now rises as a steep rock from the Moselle valley.
