The wines are characterized by a complex mineral-fruity interplay. In the foothills of the southern slopes, ice wines are also successful in the right years.
The prime piece of the Traiser Rotenfels is the Mühlberg vineyard in the Rotenfels, which has been classified as a VDP.GROSSE LAGE® and produces wonderful GGs. The grapes grow on a steep southern slope on the shoulder of the Rotenfels massif on reddish volcanic rock. The plot is planted with 15 year old vines. The easily warmed soil and the good water supply support an optimal growth process. The GL Mühlberg is three hectares in size.
