wine description

2007 Rüdesheim BERG SCHLOSSBERG Trockenbeerenauslese Riesling | Halbflasche

Robert Parker [Bewertung von RobertParker (David Schildknecht):

Breuer’s 2007 Rudesheimer Berg Schlossberg Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese smells and tastes of spiced peach and yellow plum preserves, incorporating musky and animal nuances as well as penetrating notes of distilled pit fruits. Thick and enormously sweet, its manifestly high acidity – for now, at least – manifests itself as a detached lemony tartness. Certainly there is enormous finishing concentration, but not much complexity and the wine’s sweet-tart bifurcation persists at every stage. And speaking of stages, it is certainly also possible that this will have acquired more definition and multi-dimensionality in the course of 2009, or have been caught my me at an awkward moment. That this will “live” for more than two decades I have no doubt.]
