Hand picking, spontaneous fermentation, maceration time, batonnage and no filtration, these are just a small selection of winemaking tools, driven by the quality thinking of a craft of the caliber Hanspeter Ziereisen.
In the Markgräflerland, Hanspeter Ziereisen develops grape varieties such as Gutedel, Burgundy, the piwi grape variety Regent and Chardonnay into extremely elegant, cool-looking and well-balanced wines with a medium alcohol content. The style and character of the collection bears a clear signature and nothing is left to chance in the vineyard either, yield reduction, foliage management and hand-picking only bring healthy, high-quality grapes into the box.
Everything else is provided by nature, a limestone soil and a mild macroclimate with an annual average temperature of 11.4 ° C, almost like in great Burgundy.
The winery philosophy:

Quality is primarily created in the vineyard. Here we create the conditions for great wines with great commitment. In the basement we only do the bare minimum, the rest is provided for peace and time.

According to our philosophy, our wines should reflect their origins as unadulterated as possible. That is why we treat our wines as gently as possible, avoiding chemical treatments, fining and filtration. In the vineyard we work according to old fathers' custom - by hand.
